Major League Baseball Player. He was an American baseball player who was nicknamed "Guesses." He played five seasons with the Cleveland Spiders of the National League from 1890 to 1894. He was a first baseman mainly but did play as a centerfielder. He ended his career with 483 hits in 474 games with seven home runs, 256 runs batted in, and a .274 average. In the 1894 season, he suffered a stroke which forced him to retire.
