PFC. JOSEPH F. JOHOVICS JR
Requiem high mass for Private First Class Joseph F. Johovics, Jr., who was killed in action in Italy, May 11, 1944, will be sung at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Andrew's Church. Burial will be in the North Side Catholic Cemetery.
Having attended St. Andrew's School and a graduate of Oliver High School, Pfc. Johovics was formerly employed by the American Radiator & Standard Sanitary Manufacturing Co. and later by the John F. Casey Construction Co.
Pfc. Johovics was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star Medal for heroism, posthumously.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Johovics of 139 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Schmitzer Jr.
Friends will be received at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 3724 California Ave., North Side, after 12 o'clock noon tomorrow.
