Harry was born October 26, 1929 in East Jordan, MI. He was one of fifteen children of the late Harry F. and Nellie (Brooks) Dougherty. After graduating high school, Harry went to work for Grand Trunk Railroad where he later retired as a Switchman. Mr. Dougherty married Eloise "Wanda" Anderson on August 28, 1950 in Boyne City and together raised 5 children. After 62 years of marriage together, Wanda passed on October 29, 2012. Harry enjoyed his summers up north at the cabin and being out on the water, fishing.
Mr. Dougherty is survived by 4 children: Linda (Gary) Marsh of Swartz Creek, Randy (Melinda) Dougherty of Wisconsin, Dr. Patrick (Julie) Dougherty of Ohio, Sally Libby of Durand; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Nolin; 3 sisters: Marcy, Leona, Dora and many nieces and nephews.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wanda; son, Dennis; siblings: Flossie, Alma, Henry, Albert, Pauline, Roy, Calvin, Betty and Devere.
