Retired teacher and U. S. Postal Supervisor. Mr. Chapman was employed for the U. S. Postal Service for 50 years and the Atlanta Public School System (Booker T. Washington And Alonzo A. Crim High Evening Schools) for over 40 years. He was born in Houston County Georgia to Louis and Cora Chapman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Essie D. Chapman. He is survived by "his girls", their husbands: Mr. and Mrs. Norman Robinson (Wilhelmina), Mr. and Mrs. Michael Waren (LaVerne), Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Minor (Odrie); and four grandchildren, two grandsons: Michael Alan Jr. and Daniel Austin; and his two "pretty girls", Essica MeShelle and Kathryn Alizabeth. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Chapman will be remembered for his smile and infectious laughter. He was proud of his family and they adored him. He will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted father and friend.
