Solemn requiem mass will be celebrated in St. Lawrence Church at 9:30 a.m. Friday for Pfc. John F. Coyne, only son of Mrs. Madeline C. Kilgallen.
Mrs. Kilgallen is the wife of Thomas E. Kilgallen, president of the Pittsburgh City Council.
Private Coyne's body arrived recently from the Panama Canal Zone, where he was killed in the line of duty in July, 1942. At the time of his enlistment, he lived at the Kilgallen home, 350 South Evaline Street.
Before the services, friends will be received at the McCabe Brothers Funeral Home, 5300 Penn Ave. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military honors provided by Mechler-Kelly-Bingham Post, 6229, V.F.W.
