Lunden Elizabeth Chappell, age 3,passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 14, 2014, due to an accidental drowning.

Lunden is the daughter of Crystal and Jonathan Chappell. She was born August 11, 2010, in Joliet and attended pre-school at Reed-Custer Primary School in Custer Park. Lunden was a vivacious and loving little girl, who was full of energy. She cherished her Pete the Cat and loved music and dancing, as well as the alphabet and going to the zoo.

Survivors include her parents; brother Parker; maternal grandparents William and Mary Parker of Martinsville, Indiana; paternal grandparents: Reverend Rodney and Colleen Chappell of Coal City; aunts and uncles: Elizabeth Chappell of Wilmington, William (Lesa) Parker of Plainfield, Indiana, Laura Knox of Indianapolis, Indiana, Don (Dawn) Shover of Mooresville, Indiana and Ron Shover of Texas, as well as her mother's godmother Regena Baker-Garnett, who was like a grandmother to her.

Visitation and video tribute will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014, between the hours of 2:00PM and 8:00PM at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Hoak officiating.
