Maxine Lucas, 82, of Pennsboro, W.Va., passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, following an extended illness.
She was born July 31, 1923, at Baltimore, Md., the daughter of the late Gordan Zeller and Marguerite Simonton Justus. She had been secretary of Pennsboro High School for 24 years. She was a member of OES Chapter 26 of Pennsboro and a member of the Pennsboro United Methodist Church. She loved sewing, making crafts and spending time with family.
Mrs. Lucas is survived by her husband of 58 years, William (Ed) Lucas; two children, a son, Mike Lucas and wife, Barbara, of Parkersburg and daughter, Sue Lucas of Williamstown; and two grandsons, Ryan Lucas of Princeton, W.Va., and James (J.T.) Lucas of Parkersburg.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro. Interment will follow in the Mount Harmony Masonic Cemetery, Pennsboro.
