Willie Jefferson Horton Sr., 88, of San Diego died Tuesday. He was born in Edenton, N.C. Mr. Horton was a Navy chief petty officer. Survivors include his wife, Carrie Horton; daughters, Ida Costin of New York City and Margaret Carter and Mary Scott of La Mesa; son, Willie Horton Jr. of San Diego; sisters, Sarah Fields of New York City and Esther Prather of Ladson, S.C.; brothers, Joseph Horton of Philadelphia and John Horton of New York City; and eight grandchildren. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, Anderson-Ragsdale Mortuary, 5050 Federal Blvd., San Diego.
