Mrs. Ethel Walters Young, age 73 of Artemus, was born in Mt. Piskey, KY on March 22, 1941 to the late Edison Esley Walters and Willie Owens Walters Smith and departed this life on Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the Knox County Hospital. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, a daughter: Shelia Ann Young; 2 brothers: Frank Walters, and Clarence Walters; 3 half Brothers: Roy Walters, Raymond Walters, and George Walters; and a half-sister: May Smith.

She is survived by her loving children: Larry Young and wife Jennifer, and Phillip Young all of Artemus, Loretta Hubbard of Flat Lick, and Wilma Jean Young of TN; her step-father: Conellon Smith; 4 sisters: Lillie Mays and husband Roscoe of Pine Hill, Elsie Jones of Pioneer, TN, Esther Duncan and husband Paul of Scott County, and Maudie Blevins and husband Dennis of Scott County; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Ethel Young will be conducted on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Barbourville Funeral Home with Rev. Glen Collins and Rev. Roe Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Oak Cemetery in Oneida TN with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Saturday Evening from 6 to 9 P.M. and Sunday from 10 A.M. to the funeral hour at 2 p.m.
