First Lieutenant Stewart died in the line of
duty when B-25C Mitchell #42-32366 crashed,
one mile west of Greenville Army Airfield,
South Carolina, just after take off.

Son of Ivan H. and C. H. Stewart. Husband of
Betty (Modahl) Stewart.

Six other Army aviators also perished:
