Capt. George E Flynn III ... Son of John B. Flynn and Nellie G. Flynn of New Orleans, La.; Brother of Jonell Flynn of New Orleans! Cousin of Ed Hoffman II and Kathy Hoffman Bertucci. His grave is in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie, La. Section "Q" Square 26 Plot 5... NOT Greenwood Cemetery where the Family Grave is located! Capt. Flynn III was with the 1st Air Commando Sqdn,34th Tactical Group,13th AF. He trained with the A-1 Skyraider Class of "Express-01" at Hurburt Field, Fl. He also flew the F-100 Fighter Jet! He was a Graduate of LSU with a Degree in Engineering Graduating in May 1959. Joined the Air Force after Graduation as his Career! He was deployed to Vietnam in Sept. 1964. The Plane he flew that night had Tail# 52-132441. He was shot down during a Night Raid South of the Mekong River Delta! It is believed he was captured and Died!!! His remains where return to the US on June 05,1974. His Family was received his Purple Heart!
