Funeral Services for Edith Zell Childress Cobb, 99, of West Monroe will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 23, 2014 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Officiating the service will be Dr. Woods Watson, a minister of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe.

A private interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe.

Mrs. Cobb was born March 16, 1915 and passed away on May 21, 2014 at Rosemont Assisted Living, where she had been a resident since February 2004.

A. Jesse Cobb, her husband, preceded her in death.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe where her husband was a charter member.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Childress and wife, Christine of Choudrant, LA; granddaughter, Cyndi Childress Bohrer and husband, Phil of Baton Rouge, LA; grandson, Dan Childress and wife, Maribel of Bella Vista, AR; great-granddaughter, Mary Christine Childress; and five great-grandsons, Joseph and Kevin Bohrer, Christian, Jon Alec, and Aaron Childress.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Mrs. Karen Traxler and her staff of Rosemont Assistant Living and special nurses from St. Joseph Hospice Kenya Anderson and Monica Reed for their loving care.
