On July 8, 2012, Yolanda G. Nunez passed away after a bout with cancer in El Paso, Texas. Mrs. Nunez was born in 1926. She was a loyal wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked as a legal assistant for 51 years. "Yoli" was loved by all, and will be sorely missed by the community, and by her beloved family. Mrs. Nunez was preceded in death by her husband, Horace H. "Boomer" Nunez of El Paso and survived by her daughter, Yvette (Gregory) Young of Grapevine, Texas and by her son, Frank (Sueko) Douglas of El Paso, Texas. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5pm to 9pm Thursday, July 12, 2012 with a 6pm vigil at Martin Funeral Home Central 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30am Friday, July 13, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1315 Travis, with burial follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. The Family invites all of Yoli's friends to come and celebrate her life with them. Funeral Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central.
