Juno Arvello Grimmett Monsen, 97 passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21st, 2004 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Brigham City, Utah.

She was born on August 1st, 1906 in Moreland, Idaho, the daughter of Hyrum and Hannah Sleight Grimmett.

Juno married Hugh Ralph Monsen on April 14th, 1932 in Blackfoot, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple.

She was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a life time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She taught Primary and Relief Society for many years. Juno especially loved to teach and enjoyed visiting with the children.

She loved to write poetry and recite poetry throughout her life.Surviving her are her three daughters Valene (Hank) Krone,of Brigham City, Utah, Carma Jean (Jim) Cady, of Brigham City, Utah, and Ann Elizabeth (Mike, Michael) McClure, of Sandy, Utah;13 grandchildren, 18 great-grand children and 4 great great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Ralph Monsen, her daughter, Gayla June Monsen Street, Gayla's two daughter's that died at birth Linda Street, and Susan Street, (all three are buried at Murray City Cemetery ) and her twin sister, June Garrett, five brothers and 4 sisters. Her forth sister Norma Williams died shortly after my grandmother Juno did. My brother, grandma's grandson Mark John Doby passed away three months later of unknown causes to join grandma in heaven.

Funeral Services were held on Saturday June 26, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham City Stake Center, 650 Anderson Drive, Brigham City , Utah. Internment took place at the Murray City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. at 5600 South and 700 East, Murray, Utah.
