Edward Helmerich, 79, who was employed as a tinner in Huntingburg for 44 years, died at his home in Huntingburg Monday.
He was born at Evansville on July 4, 1876, the son of John and Mary Barwee Helmerich.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lillie Collins, to whom he was married on June 1, 1914; two daughters, Mrs. Foster Blemker, and Mrs. Glen Lehmkuhler; five sons, Rev. Wayne Helmerich, Mr. Vernon, Gerald, Charles, Dale and Gene; a step-son, Robert Studer; a sister, Mrs. Charles Dufendach; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Nass and Son Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today. Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery.
