Audrey Michael Harris, 53 of Charlottesville, Va., better known as Lu-Lu, Sue Ellen and Sissy departed this life at the University of Virginia Medical Center on May 21, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on March 11, 1961 to the late Adolphus Barrett and Dorothy Harris.
Audrey was baptized at an early age at Union Run Baptist Church Shadwell, Va. and later became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
She was a gifted hair stylist for numerous years. Doing hair was her passion as well as cooking and entertaining family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memories four brothers, Arthur Harris, Melvin Harris and James Barrett all of Charlottesville, Va. and Larry Barrett of Earlysville, Va.; five sisters, Edna Harris of Charlottesville, Va. Mercele Collins and her husband Henry of Bladensburg, Md., Tonya Armstrong and her husband Gregory and Tajuanna Harris all of Charlottesville, Va., Margaret Ann Ragland of Keswick, Va.. One uncle, Robert Thurston of Barboursville, Va., a God-Daughter Dannaye White of Charlottesville, Va., A devoted cousin Carolyn Tyler of Somerset, NJ., a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews and friends. A devoted friend of over 40 years, Alfreda Robinson of Charlottesville, Va.
Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Tuesday May 27, 2014 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 113 Sixth Street St. NW, Charlottesville, Va. with Rev. Lehman Bates officiating. Interment will follow at Union Run Baptist Church Cemetery, Shadwell, Va.
The family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the services.
