Sarah M. Moore, 82, of Houston, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 27, 2007. Mrs. Moore was born October 30, 1924, in Oil City, Pennsylvania to James Horace Coffey and Georgetta Hughes Coffey. She graduated from Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas in 1942.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her brother, George Coffey, her husband, Grover S. Moore, Jr. and a granddaughter, Natalie Marie Moore.

She was a longtime and faithful member of Wayside and Sherman Church of Christ and West University Church of Christ.

Her survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Doc Docstader; three sons, Grover S. (Buddy) Moore, III and his wife Linda, Steve Moore and his wife Sharon, and Dan Moore; a sister, Violet Engleman; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a very special friend, Clyde Russell.

Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007, at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at West University Church of Christ, 3407 Bissonnet, with Shawn Jones officiating. Interment will be private for the family only.
