Joseph Anastacio Vallejos, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Joe was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on August 2, 1960 and has lived in various locations over the years to include Pueblo Co, Amalia NM, Questa NM and Albuquerque, NM, his final home and residence.
Joseph served in the United States Army and made a tour in Germany and was medically retired in August of 1983 with an Honorable Discharge.
Joe was a devoted father, an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Ray E. Vallejos Sr.
Joe is survived by his wife, Josie Vallejos, son, Andres Vallejos of Albuquerque, NM, mother, Jennie Vallejos of Albuquerque, NM, sisters, Debbie Roybal and her husband of Albuquerque, NM, Linda Mansell and her husband of Magdelena, NM, Judy Vallejos of Albuquerque, NM and Michelle DeHerrera of Costilla, NM and brothers, Ray Vallejos Jr. and his spouse of Albuquerque, NM, Patrick Vallejos, and his spouse of Albuquerque, NM and brother, George Vallejos of Albuquerque, NM. Services have taken place at Sagrado Corazon Catholic Church in Costilla, NM. Joe was laid to rest at Santo Niño Cemetery in Amalia, NM with full military honors by the United States Army Honor Guard.
