Patricia Lynn Parsons (1960 - 2014)

Patricia Lynn Parsons passed away May 29, 2014, after an 8 year struggle with ALS.
Trish was born on July 8, 1960, in Joliet, Ill., to Frances and Henry (Hank) Selby.
Trish was a math teacher at Conway High School. She loved working with teenagers and had a special talent teaching them Trig and Geometry. Her students loved her as well and sent her letters of encouragement during her illness. She taught 9 years at Conway until Lou Gehrig's disease forced her to retire in 2007. Prior to moving to Conway in 1992 she taught 3 years at her Alma mater McClellan High in Little Rock. Trish also worked as a statistician for the Arkansas Highway Department in the 1980s.

Trish earned her B.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1982. She added a master's degree in education from UALR in 1989.
Trish was a devoted Christian and worshipped with the Prince Street congregation of the Church of Christ. She utilized her teaching talents there as well, teaching children what life is really about. She was a lifetime member of the Junior Auxiliaries and an active volunteer in community events and school activities. A friendship with Trish was a coveted blessing. Her friends will surely miss her support, as she often came to their aid in the most loyal fashion.
