Claiborne H. Brown, 75, of Old Lake Road, a retired plant assigner with Bell South Telephone Co., died of heart failure Wednesday at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is noon today at the funeral home.

Mr. Brown was a Rankin County native, living in Jackson for more than 50 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Riverwood Bible Church. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Survivors include: wife, Nita; son, Mike Brown of Madison; sister, Willie Mae Gray of Pelahatchie; and two grandchildren.
