Author. She was the creator and author of the children's book "Dumbo, the Flying Elephant." Published in 1939 by the Roll-A-Book Publisher, entertainment empire mogul Walt Disney was inspired by her work and in 1941 summoned her to California, where she sold the book rights to him and spent two years collaborating with her on the Disney animated movie. Helen received her bachelor's degree in 1929 from Syracuse University, New York.
