Jeanne E. Rivers, 79, of Orange Street, formerly of Dover, N.H., died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Born in Dover, N.H., Jan. 9, 1930, she was the daughter of Harold J. and Ethel Mae (Keniston) Blaisdell and attended Dover schools. She was a member of the Cocheco Extension Group and the AARP.
She had formerly been employed at Prosper Shevenel Co. and the McKelwyn Shoe Co.
She is survived by her husband of 58-years, George A. Rivers; her nephews, Paul Blaisdell of Florida, Raymond Blaisdell of Dexter, Maine.
She was predeceased by two brothers, James E. Blaisdell of Eliot, Maine, and Robert E. Blaisdell of Somersworth, N.H.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 4-7pm at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover, N.H. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Dover.
