Eileen Y. Zahm, 70, who was active in church and community affairs, died Thursday (Oct. 20, 1994) in Sisters Hospital.
A native of Buffalo, the former Eileen Young was a longtime active member at Christ the King Catholic Church in Snyder, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a volunteer with American Red Cross bloodmobiles for many years.
Since suffering a stroke seven years ago, Mrs. Zahm had
attended the Amherst Adult Day Services daily.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Dr. Robert H.; two daughters, Kathleen Rolls of Amherst and Susan Doherty of Snyder; a son, Robert W.; a brother, Walter Young of Williamsville; and eight grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 651 Washington St. Prayers will be said at 9:15 in Schlager Chapel of Nagel-McCready Funeral Home, 4614 Main St., Snyder.
