She was the daughter of William Britton & Martha (Rice) Poe. She was first married to John Vernon Strub about 1897. He died in 1908. She then married William Ruehl Jan 2, 1915 at St Paul German Evangelical Church in Newport, KY. (Newport Marriage bond was issued Dec 1914; married Jan. 2, 1915).
