CHUTORASH, Richard Matthew, age 60, died June 9, 2014. Survived by siblings: Gustave III, Cynthia Bliskey, Michelle Van Camp (John), Diane McDaniel, Nancy Schwei (Mike) and Michael (Kathy). Also 14 nieces and nephews, and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews, and one cousin, John Dueweke (Carol).

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd. (Between Maple and Big Beaver), 248-362-2500.

The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Gesu Church, 17204 Oak Drive, Detroit. Visitation at church begins at 10 a.m.

Memorial tributes to Gesu Church, 17204 Oak Drive, Detroit, MI 48221.Rick was a caring, giving, and hard working man. He successfully owned and
operated his own professional painting business for 30 years with many repeat
satisfied customers. Rick was also a committed community activist in several
ways.

He was a dedicated usher at Gesu Catholic Church for the past 20 years. His
fellow ushers spoke highly of him, for his attention to detail, covering
wherever he was needed. He also maintained the church and school with many years
of painting services.

Rick volunteered for the City of Southfield Emergency Management Team since June
of 1978, awarded with a Major status. His duties consisted of traffic detail for
city events such as the Fireworks display, and he was active in the mobile watch
unit of Southfield's neighborhoods.

He also organized Southfield's Goodfellow newspaper sales, coordinating
volunteers for the past 20 years.
