Pardon Waterman Kenyon was the son of "Deacon" David Kenyon and Hannah (Kenyon).

His first wife was Amy Edwards, whom he married 21 Oct 1834. She died 1839. She was born in Rhode Island, died in Brooklyn, New York.

His second wife was Janette Preston, daughter of Homer and Eliza (Sackett) Preston, whom he married on 31 Dec 1843. She was born 15 Jun 1826, New York, died 10 Mar 1872. They married in Brooklyn, New York, where she died.

His third wife was Amanda Taylor Edwards, born 27 September 1834, New York, died 24 September 1923. He married Amanda in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Thomas Clark and Betsey (Foote) Edwards. She died in Los Angeles, California.

In 1840, Pardon started a business of the "Letter Express," which delivered mail to outgoing boats and trains. By 1870, he went into Real Estate. He was a very successful and distinguished man.
