Services for Lois G. Williams, 79, of Amity were June 26, 1981, at the Chapel of Macy & Son, with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Glendale, Calif.
Mrs. Williams died June 24 at McMinnville Hospital. She was born March 15, 1902, at Dadenville, Mo., the daughter of Ray and Ada Bowbell Brooks.
Raised in Missouri, she moved to California in 1922, where she lived until moving to Amity in 1977. On Nov. 1, 1923, she married Lee G. Williams in Hollywood, Calif. He died in 1976.
For many years Mrs. Williams worked for Webb’s Department Store in Glendale. She belonged to the First Christian Church in Glendale and First Christian Church of Amity.
She was known for her extensive button collection.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Lee Imlah of Amity; sisters, Nina Squires of McMinnville, Dorothy McConnell of Covina, Calif., Billie Valentine of LaVerne, Calif., Ruth Branham of Burbank, Calif., and Lela Baldwin of Walnut City, Calif.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Brooks Scholarship in care of First Christian Church, El Monte, Calif.
