Augusta was the oldest of two daughters born to Rasmona Tripplett and Beulah May (Moose) Benfield. She married Grady Wilson Drum and they were the parents of two sons: Grady Michael and Terry Keith.

HIDDENITE -- Mrs. Augusta Benfield Lewis, 81, died May 1, 2007. Funeral is 2 PM Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church. Interment in church cemetery. Visitation 7:30-8:30 PM Friday at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, Statesville.
