DANIEL MOREDOCK, ESQ., DIES
SUDDENLY.
Well Known Resident of Jefferson Town-
ship, Expired Tuesday Evening.
Daniel Moredock, Esq., a well-known and highly respected resident of Jefferson township, died suddenly on Tuesday evening.
He was eating supper when he was seized with an attack of paralysis and expired. Mr. Moredock's son-in-law, S. C. Cox, resided with him at the old homestead, which is on the road between Jefferson and Rice's Landing. Deceased was born in Jefferson township, March 29, 1820, and was a wealthy farmer and stock-raiser. Notwithstanding his advanced years he had been in good health up until his death, having assisted in weighing a large number of cattle Tuesday morning and had gone about throughout the day attending to duties. He was highly respected and the news of his death proved to be a shock to the community. He is survived by the following children: Rex Moredock and Mrs. S. C. Cox, of Jefferson; Mrs. D. M. Burson, of Redding, Cal.; Mrs. W. P. Daugherty, of Brownsville; Mrs. Anderson Moredock, of Rice's Landing; Mrs. S. C. Faddis, Mrs. S. M. Smith and A. L. Moredock, Esq., of Waynesburg. He was a brother of G. H. Moredock, Esq., of Jefferson, Mrs. Samuel Sharpnack, of Rice's Landing, and Mrs. A. J. Martin, of Crossville, Tenn. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday.
