Rex Moredock, a well known and highly respected citizen, died at his home near Khedive, Monday, April 1, aged 79 years. He was a lifelong resident of Greene county and had engaged in farming and stock raising. Mr. Moredock was a son of Daniel and Elizabeth Rex Moredock, deceased, and was born near Rices Landing. He was a member of the Muddy Creek Presbyterian church and always took an active interest in church and community affairs. His wife, Mrs. Jennie McClenathan Moredock, died in 1913. One son, E. T. M. Moredock, of Khedive, and a brother, Attorney A. L. Moredock, and the following sisters survive: Mrs. Margaret Cox and Mrs. Sarah Moredock, of Rices Landing; Mrs. Emma Burson, of Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Anna Daugherty, of Brownsville; Mrs. S. M. Smith and Mrs. S. C. Faddis, of Waynesburg. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. J. L. Crooks. Interment in the Jefferson cemetery.
