Longtime owner-operator of Curly's Service Station
Ray Smith "Curly" Moredock, 92, of Jefferson, died Friday, November 18, 2005, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
He was born January 28, 1913, in Khedive, a son of Earl Thomas McClenathan "E.T.M." Moredock and Anna Mae Smith Moredock.
Mr. Moredock was a 1933 Cumberland Township High School graduate.
He owned and operated Curly's Service Station in Khedive from 1934 until 1992. He also worked as a custodian for Gallatin Bank in Jefferson for 20 years.
Mr. Moredock attended Muddy Creek Presbyterian Church until 1971. He later became a member of Greene Valley Presbyterian Church in Carmichaels, where he served as an elder.
He enjoyed playing dartball.
On July 18, 1948, he married Ila Christopher, who survives.
