MRS. LEE JOSEPH DIES
-FUNERAL TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR NATIVE OF CHARITON COUNTY
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Indian Grove Christian Church for Mrs. Lee Joseph, who died at her home east of Brunswick, Aug. 19, 1950. The body was buried in the Indian Grove Cemetery.
Pearl Yancey, daughter of Robert and Susan Yancey, was born Nov. 26, 1884 in Chariton County. On Nov. 1, 1909, she was married to Lee Joseph in Clayton, Missouri. For several years they made their home in St. Louis. Later they located to a farm near Brunswick where she died. She was 65 years, 8 months and 23 days of age at the time of her passing.
She loved her club, the Merry Mixers, of which she was a charter member and was known by all the children as "Aunt Pearl".
She is survived by her husband, her aged father; one brother, Jesse Yancey of Garden City, Missouri; and one sister, Mrs. Ruby Ringer of Mendon. She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister, Mrs. Lewis Wheeler.
Her loss is deeply felt by those who loved her.
