Gertrude May Saucier, 80, formerly of 11 Union Court, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at Riverside Rest Home, Dover, after a period of declining health.

Gertrude was born in Connecticut on May 29, 1927, and was the daughter of Everett Raymond and Lillian (Uffendale) Chapman. Gertrude was raised in Kittery, Maine, attending school at Kittery Point. She had been a resident of this community for the past 17 years.

Before retiring, she had worked for New England Box Container Company with more than 20 years of service.

Family members include her sons, Russell Lampman and his wife, Elizabeth, and David Lampman and his wife, Valerie. She leaves her daughter, Deborah Whitten and her husband, Richard. Gertrude also leaves her grandchildren, Jeremy Thurston, Stacie Thurston, Joshua St. Amand, Vanessa Lampman and Daniel Lampman. Her sister, Lillian Redstone, also survives her.

Her sister, Evelyn Merriman, predeceased her.

Burial will be in the spring in Portsmouth, N.H., with time and date to be announced.
