James married Phyllis Miller February 27, 1970 in Brighton, had grown up in Mead, and spent most of his life in the Fort Lupton area. After serving in the Army, he worked as a Painter at University of Colorado-Boulder for 37 years before retiring in 2003. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life. Survivors beside his wife of 44 years included: daughter Jamie (Wayne) Corbin, Natalie and Kevin; son Larry; brother Samuel (June) Faulkner; sisters Ida (Danny) Grogan and Gilberta Matthews; and brother Ted (Joyce) Jensen. Memorial Services held June 18 at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home in Brighton. Memorial Donations to Denver Rescue Mission. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home handled arrangements.
