Raymond R. Gump, 67, Waynesburg R. D. 1, well known dairy farmer, died about noon Monday, Nov. 1, 1954, at his home following a lingering illness.

Born August 3, 1887 in Cameron, W. Va., he was a son of the late Brailey Gump and Wilhelmina Anderson Gump. He had lived in the Waynesburg community for the past 36 years and had followed dairy farming for 28 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Waynesburg.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie Phillips Gump; one son, Stanley Gump of Woodland avenue, Waynesburg; two daughters, Mrs. Fred McClelland of Waynesburg, and Miss Evelyn Gump at home; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Allen Gump of Cameron, W, Va., and one sister, Mrs. Martha Chambers of Cleveland, Ohio, and a number of nieces and nephews. One grandson, J. Ronald Gump, is in the U. S. Air Force and stationed in Texas, and another, William McClelland, lives in Cleveland, Ohio. The others reside in Waynesurg.
