Marie A. Anhalt age 85, formerly of the Reedsville Manor, died Wednesday January 9, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Marie was born March 17, 1927 in Cato, daughter of the late Ed and Anna (Augustine) Lemberger. She was a former member of the St. Anne Christian Women's Society and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Kubale-O'Connell Post #6179 of Kellnersville. Marie married Claude Anhalt November 22, 1947 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2008. She enjoyed making rosaries for the missions, playing cards and doing puzzles.

She is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law: Richard (Janice) Anhalt, Eagle River; Randall (Linda) Anhalt, Reedsville; Russell (Julie) Anhalt, Cato; Bruce Anhalt, Florida; one daughter: Barbara Anhalt and special friend Nan Pierce, Reedsville; five grandchildren: Michelle (Jeremy) Foytik; Craig (Lindsay) Anhalt; Ryan (Lindsay) Anhalt; Pamela (Karl) Fels, and Kayla Anhalt; three great grandchildren: Tyler and Brielle Foytik, and Cash Anhalt; one great step-granddaughter: Madalyn Denor; three sisters-in-law: Elaine Lemberger, Manitowoc; Marcella Lemberger, Manitowoc; Sernia Lemberger, Arizona; six brothers-in-law and seven sisters-in-law: Wilfred Anhalt, Connecticut; Wesley Rovang, South Dakota; Rose Scanlan, Oshkosh; Mary Ann Wotruba; Jean Klein; David (Shirley) Anhalt; Joan (Merrill) Buck; Phyllis (Robert) Uhrich; Colleen (Roger) Brunner, all of Manitowoc; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Claude, five brothers and one sister-in-law: Alfred (Esther) Lemberger; Francis, Leo, Harold, and Donald Lemberger; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law: Gordon (Betty) Anhalt; Charlotte Rovang; Ruth Anhalt; Gordon Wotruba; Carl Klein; Patrick Scanlan; one niece: Mary Hauck; two nephews: William and Gary Lemberger; one great nephew: Scott Leland; one infant brother: Bernard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at Holy Family Parish in Brillion. The Rev. Timothy Brandt will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. The Jens Family Funeral Home & Crematory, Manitowoc is assisting the Anhalt family with arrangements.
