Joe was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. At the age of 18, Joe enlisted in the United States Navy and was stationed at Kingsville, Texas, where he met his loving wife, Libby. They were soon married and started a family in Corpus Christi, Texas. After retiring from ARADMAC, Joe continued to work as a highly skilled machinist in the shop he built in his back yard. He was a fisherman, boater, avid reader, dune buggie enthusiast, and a lover of classic automobiles.
Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Libby Chaney; his children, Michael Chaney, Gary (Cathy) Chaney, and Lori (James) Hodges; his grandchildren, Taylor Chaney, Kendra Chaney, Kristen Chaney, Rachael Chaney, and Zoe Hodges; and his sisters, Sue Blanchette and Vicki Peyton.
Interment to follow service at Seaside Memorial Park.
