Chesapeake - Lucille Martin Futrell, 90, of San Salvadore Dr. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2014. A native of Conway, NC, she was a member of Alexander Baptist Church; and a former longtime member of Bethany Baptist Church. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney C. Futrell; her sister, Bernice Taylor; and her brother, M. Earl Martin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jan Miltier and husband Bobby; two sons, Steve Futrell and wife Terrie and Don Futrell and wife Kathy; seven grandchildren, Ryan Futrell and wife Beth, Katie Taylor and husband Marc, Alicia Phinney and husband Rick, Kimberly Haggerty and husband Kevin, Jessie Futrell, Danny and Andrew Miltier; and six great grandchildren, Ella, Silas and Jocelyn Futrell, Patrick Taylor, Abbie Phinney and Aidan Haggerty.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Monday, June 23, 2014 in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by Dr. Gene Primm. Burial will follow the service in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 6 PM.
