Jacqueline "Jackie" Axe Hamby, 73, of Morris, Illinois, formerly of Saint Marys and Lima, died 4:58 A.M. Monday, June 23, 2014 at Morris Hospital, Morris, Illinois. She was born June 28, 1940 in Saint Marys, Ohio, the daughter of Francis and Anna Mae (Griner) Axe.

She is survived by her five children: Kathy (Gary) Musser of Elida, Ohio; Dan (Becca Moix) Copsey of Covington, Kentucky; Kelly (Doyal) Armitage of Morris, Illinois; Doug (Bobbie) Copsey of Panama City, Florida; Dana Copsey of Morris, Illinois. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica, Amanda, Sarah, Josh, Anna, John, Robert, Joseph and Julianna; by her great-grandchildren: Jase, Jadyn, Jordin, Jackson, Hendley, Levi, Ella and Samara; by her siblings, Jerry Axe of Holland, Ohio; Jim Axe of Bentonville, Arkansas; Marilyn Parks of Van Wert; Bill Axe of Rockford, Illinois; Joe Axe of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jackie was a 1957 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and held many positions in the service industry. She made many friends in the Lima, Saint Marys and Van Wert communities. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Reverend Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Saint Marys.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Friday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Ohio, where memorial donations may be directed to Friends of Holy Rosary School. Condolences may be sent to Jackie's family via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
