Nancy Clark(e) married Jesse Thompson who served under her father General Elijah Clarke in the Revolutionary War.

They later divorced, divorce granted by Governor William Rabun (1771-1819) of Georgia on 19 December 1818.

Nancy's brother John Clark (1766-1832) was governor of Georgia for two terms.
