Major League Baseball Player. He played Major League baseball as a shortstop and second base for seven seasons (1909, 1911 to 1916) with the the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs, and the Pittsburgh Rebels of the short-lived Federal League. He was a member of the 1912 World Championship Red Sox team that defeated the New York Giants. He jumped to the Federal League in 1914 playing for the Pittsburgh Rebels and later purchased by the Chicago Cubs in 1916.
