Verna Raye Snyder was born July 10, 1930, in Muleshoe, Texas, the only child of H. V. and Dallie Snyder. She graduated as valedictorian from Muleshoe High School in 1946, and married Robert Wilson Trapp on November 22, 1946. They had five children - Robert A. Trapp, R. Lynn Trapp, Glenda S. Wardrup, Carryl D. Trapp, and Darryl G. Trapp.
She died in Amarillo, TX, on Christmas eve, 1998, from complications of COPD.
