Born August 27, 1924 in Anthony, Kansas to Albert and Ruth (Humfeld) Duckworth. She passed away on July 5, 2014. On November 23, 1942 she married her love Earl Morris in Springfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Mom was very active in high school, especially in journalism. She worked on the high school annual and newspaper. At one time she wanted to be a writer. She loved to write poetry and even had one of her poems published. Being a Mother and working at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the Supply Department, took up much of her time until she retired in 1971.

She always told her grandchildren you never say two words "can't" and "old". She stayed "39" and holding for 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers Herman and Robert Duckworth, Surviving her are her daughter Vicki (Barry) Bloomquist; grandchildren Robin (Jerry Clark, Rikki (Dan) Waters and Darrin (Lisa) Bloomquist; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Delores Duckworth; and many nephews and nieces.

Memorial Service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Manchester Community Church.

A special thank you to all the staff at Ridgemont for the loving care and understanding you have her during her stay.
