Winifred Bernice Bassett (last husband - Ollie Bassett). A graduate of Orland High School, she attended Manchester College (Indiana) for three years and received training at Saint Francis College, receiving her MS-BS in psychology and education. After her retirement, she married Ollie Bassett and lived at Boynton Beach, Florida.Winifred "Winnie" B. Bassett, age 100, of Nevada Mills (Angola), Indiana, passed away Monday February 9, 2015, at Northern Lakes Nursing Center Angola, IN. She was born a daughter of the late Roscoe and Lola (Casebeer) Munger on May 9, 1914, at home on the Millpond bank in Nevada Mills. She attended Orland High School, and three years at Manchester College, plus trained at St. Frances College and earned an MS-BS in Psychology and Education. Thirty eight years as Mrs. Clyde Stewart provided the birth of her only daughter, Gloria Elaine Stewart, in 1937. Winnie spent 10 years as a trade show demonstrator with her early husband, Paul Speicher. After retirement from teaching, she married Ollie Bassett, and moved to Boynton Beach, Florida. Survivors include a grandson, Scott (Helen) Snellenberger of Angola; great-granddaughters, Roxanne and Jennifer Snellenberger of Angola; great grandson Troy snellenberger of Angola; six great-great-grandchildren, Dakota, Kaitlyn, Konnor; and Karma; Cole Snellenberger; and Carter Napier; an adopted son Leroy Wallenberg; 2 sisters, Maxine Pardon of Florida; Iris Thomas of Angola; and a brother, Lynn (Doc) Munger of Fremont, IN. She was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter, Gloria Elaine Stewart; grandson, George Snellenberger; her parents; a sister, Rozena Ewers; and a brother, Wendell (Pat) Munger. Burial took place in the Lake Gage Cemetery, Steuben County, IN. Funeral services provided by Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, IN.
