Cassie Elizabeth Casey, 91, of 1004 West Adams Street, Taylorville, died at 4:40 P.M. Wednesday November 25, 1987, in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital in Taylorville. Mrs. Casey was born April 19, 1896 in Fayette County, the daughter of Richard F. and Charlotte (Meredith) Lovelace. She was married to Cecil Casey September 15, 1912, and he preceded his wife in death January 6, 1978. She was a member of the Little Hickory Universalist Church, rural Bingham, and was a charter member of the Navy Mother Club in Taylorville. She was formerly employed at Simplicity Frocks in Kincaid.
Mrs. Casey is survived by three sons, Veron and Vernell both of Anaheim, Calif., and Vernon of Red Bluff Calif.; two daughters, Velma Shaw and Verla Romognoli, both of Taylorville; thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday November 30, 1987, in Shafer Funeral Home, with Rev. Clarence Young of Hudson, Illinois Officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
