Al was born August 26,1926, in Keshena, the son of the late Robert and Mary (Tomow) Waupoose. He enjoyed hunting & fishing and most of all being with his children and grandchildren.
He was married to Edith LaVerne Long.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Heath, Renetta Heath, Aloysius H. (Julianne) Waupoose, Jr., Ardith Waupoose,Willard G. (LaVonne) Waupoose, Sr., Tim A. (Marilyn) Waupoose, Sr., Allison K. (David Swett) Waupoose, and Dean J. (Lori) Waupoose, Sr., all of Keshena; special nephew, Darwin (Butch) King, Sr., Keshena; many other nieces and nephews; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by three sisters, Lorene Pocan, Neopit, Matilda Zhuckkahosee, Neopit, Rosene (Earl) Wescott,
Keshena, and one brother, Leroy Waupoose, Crow Settlement.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, a son, Todd Michael Waupoose, sisters, Irene Tebeau, Christine Johnson, Virginia Shawanokasic & Evelyn Waupoose and a brother, Robert Waupoose.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Keshena, with Rev. David Barrett officiating. Friends and family may call at the Dean and Lori Waupoose residence, N1320 Twin Oaks, Keshena, after 2 p.m. on Monday, October 6, until the procession leaves for the church on Wednesday. There will be a parish wake service at 7:30 pm, Tuesday. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Woods Cemetery, West Branch. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
