Funeral service for Lee Griff Perry Jr., 97 of Anniston will be Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Parker Memorial Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 until 2 at the church. Mr. Perry passed away Monday in Anniston.

Survivors include his wife Martha Perry of Anniston, daughters Carolyn Jean Perry Kendrick (Pete) and Martha Hinds Perry Veazey (Randall), son Lee Griff Perry III, grandchildren Geoffrey Arthur Kendrick (Erin), Marc Christopher Kendrick, Martha Caroline Veazey, Lillie Grace Veazey, Rachel Lorraine Perry, Lee Griff Perry IV, great grandchildren Abigail and Olivia Kendrick, brother William Noyes Perry and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Perry is preceded in death by his parents Lee Griff Perry Sr. and Ruth Margaret Noyes and a brother James Hilliard Perry. Pallbearers will be Jim Potter, Glea Sarrell, Jim Roberts, Gerald Roberts, Sam Ledbetter, Mike Stedham.

Mr. Perry was a native of Fayetteville, Ga., and a resident of Anniston, Al. He was a graduate of Mercer University. He served in the Army during WWII and worked at Anniston Foundry for 27 years and Fort McClellan Chemical School for 7 years. During this time he served as organist-choir master at Parker Memorial Baptist Church for 35 years. Later serving as organist-choir master at St. Simon Peter Episcopal Church in Cropwell, Al. for 14 years and Temple Beth-El of Anniston for 23 years. He served alongside his wife, Martha, for 20 years with Meals On Wheels. He was a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church. Arrangements under the direction of Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, Anniston, Alabama.
