Funeral service for Mr. Coburn Randy Bence, 57, of Alexander City, will be Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Chitwood will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Bence passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born on April 30, 1957 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to Coburn Whaley Bence and Shirley Harrison Bence. Mr. Bence was a self-employed electrician. He was a "cutup" and liked to have fun with family and friends. Mr. Bence also enjoyed helping people.
He is survived by his wife of 6 years, Terry Livingston Bence of Alexander City; sons, Dustin Bence of Mooresville, NC, and Joey Gentry of Alexander City; grandchild, Braiden Bence; mother, Shirley Harrison Bence; sisters, Sherry Peavy (Steve) and Kathy Bence; brother, Terry Bence (Mary Jo); nieces, Stephanie Peavy and Terri Lynne Bence; and great-nephews, Kyle Reaves and Kade Reaves.
He was preceded in death by his father.
