US NAVY - WORLD WAR II

Edmund H. Orchowski Sr., 94, of Morningside, died Thursday, July 17, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth R. Dalsass Orchowski; father of Edmund H. Orchowski Jr. (Suzanne); grandfather of Stephen Orchowski, Lauren Orchowski (Maxwell Strain), Erik Holmstrom (Christine) and Mary Lewis (Philip); great-grandfather of three; also survived by a large, loving extended family. Ed was a master cake decorator and graduate of the American Institute of Baking. He served his country in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. Friends received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at McCABE BROS. INC. FUNERAL HOME, 6214 Walnut St., Shadyside, where funeral will commence at 9 a.m. Monday, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael Church.
