William Crane married an "Esther" Davis 8 April 1813; it is presumed this is a name variation for Hester. Following her death, he married Emeline "Emily" Spencer. Her maiden name was Strickland. She married Abdiel E. Spencer on 18 Sept. 1828 in Butler County, Ohio. Following his death ca. 29 August 1843, she married George W. Oliver on 22 Sept. 1846 in Montgomery County, Indiana. They were divorced in Montgomery County 21 March 1859.

William and Hester's other children are:

Margaret, born ca. 1821 in Ohio (likely Preble or Butler County), married James Slavens on 28 Nov. 1844 in Montgomery County, Indiana, and James Morrison on 10 July 1856 in Montgomery County, Indiana, after the death of Morrison's first wife, Margaret's sister Mary. Margaret is presumed to have died as the result of childbirth in 1864 in Tippecanoe County, Indiana.

William Jr., born ca. 1820 in Ohio (likely Preble or Butler County), married Jane Lytle 16 Oct. 1848 in Boone County, Indiana, died 1 June 1863 in Montgomery County, Indiana.

Hannah, born between 1824-8 in Ohio (likely Preble or Butler County), married Joseph B. Crane on 7 July 1852 in Montgomery County, Indiana. Date and place of death unknown.
